Emotional Intelligence

The Emotional Intelligence Training Program introduces the Learner

to the emotional architecture of the brain and the interplay of various

structures of the brain. This interplay of brain structures brings an

understanding of their role in our moments of rage, fear, passion,

and joy. There is a focus on emotional habits and how these can

undermine our best intentions, as well as suggest what can be done

to subdue our more destructive or self-defeating emotional impulses.

This training course will equip the learner to understand their own

emotions, interpret another’s innermost feelings, handle relationships

smoothly, and adapt emotional behaviour that does not support us in

our actions. We discuss the impact of emotional intelligence on job

success and how toxic emotions are as much a health risk as any

other unhealthy habit, i.e., chain-smoking. Emotional intelligence brings

mind and heart together.

It is the rare skill “to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at

the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way.” – Aristotele
